Digital Initiatives
Using Innovative Technologies
The Digital History Center (DHC) directs digital initiatives for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Research Division. Founded in 2002, our projects use innovative technologies to engage the public in the continuing conversation about the American Revolution, citizenship, and democracy. Technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D computer modeling, and XML help us create digital resources for studying and analyzing 18th-century America, with a focus on Williamsburg.
