Francis Lightfoot Lee Letter to William Holburne

No Date

Lee's signature appears here on an undated note he wrote to a plantation manager at Mount Airy in Richmond County, Virginia. Mount Airy belonged to Lee's father-in-law John Tayloe; Lee's home Menokin was nearby. The note, which accompanied some letters carried by Lee's slave Cato, asked the manager to have the mail sent on by ship to destinations in Baltimore and England.
