John Adams to Dr. Benjamin Rush

September 1, 1809

Adams' signature comes from a letter he wrote to his friend and fellow signer, Benjamin Rush of Philadelphia. Benjamine Rush was a friend both to Jefferson and Adams and was the means of reconciling to the two men a few years after this letter was written.
