Title The Perfection of All Dancing: The Minuet
Issue Volume 37 Number 04, (CWJ, Autumn 2015)
Description The minuet, not one particular dance but a dance form, was popular in coloial Williamsburg. The dances require strength, agility and skilll as dancers ideally should remain perfectly symmetrical throughout the performance. The dance which requires instruction and practice, was designed to demonstrate social status, dancing ability, dress and social confidence.
