Addressing the sobering statistics on literacy and civic engagement in this country is the focus of $600-million fundraising initiative that will enable the CWF to meet the challenges of the 21st century. To launch the campaign Peter O'Neill, great-grandson of John D. Rockefeller Jr., announced a $13-million unrestricted gift made by his parents, Abby and George O'Neill, senior trustees for the Foundation. President Reiss revealed more than half of the $600M goal has already been raised since the start of the Campaign's silent phase in 2009.
