Title We are Favoured
Issue Volume 35, Number 04, (CWJ, Autumn 2013)
Description 1) Colonial Williamsburg's American Indian Initiative helps portray the complexity of cross-cultural relations through public history programs, roundtables and lectures. CW has cultivated relations with modern Indian communities--the nearby Pamunkey and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation. An endowment by Douglas N. Morton and Mariln L. Brown provides long term financial support. 2) "Threads of Feeling", an exhibit at the DWDAM, displaying volumes of the London Foundling Hospital's registration forms and tokens of remembrance, is on loan from the UK's children's charity Coram. 3) Preserving Washington's Marquee describes collaboration between the CWF and Philadelphia's Museum of the American Revolution, due to open in 2016, where the original tent will be displayed, and the CWF reproduction marquee traveling exhibit which will move from Mount Vernon to schools and other educational institutions.
