VA Gazette publisher Joseph Osborne functioned as Postmaster passing letters to W & M student George Hewes, descendant of Joseph Hewes, who signed the Declaration of Independence for NC. Ceremony concluded with speech the Rev. W.A.R. Goodwin and flyover by Jimmy Doolittle!
