Title Joy Ride
Issue Volume 03, Number 01 (T&T, Winter 2018)
Description Carriages have been, and continue to be, fixtures in the restored colonial capital. All types of animal-pulled transportation that can be found in the Historic Area include horse-drawn carriages and wagons and oxcarts. The first carriage to run on the streets was in 1935; the drivers are not tour guides, but are prepared to point out the Williamsburg sights or just chat. Training for a coach driver takes 60-90 days.
