Mentions the arrival of French generals Lafayette and de Grasse and of George Washington at Jamestown and of the Continental Army at the James River. Notes the burning of the British flagship, the “Charon.” Records the number of dead and wounded. Mentions [Robert] Abercromby, Baron von Steuben, [Charles] Cornwallis, [John] Muhlenberg, and Claude Saint-Simon, and the details of the British surrender.
