Statement of account of Samuel Morris with Purdie and Dixon. The statement includes charges for advertising houses and lots, a subscription to the Virginia Gazette from August 29, 1766 to December 31, 1767 and the binding of “Davis’s Sermons.” The sermons are probably those of Samuel Davies. The statement was sworn to one of the Justices of the Peace for James City County by John Dixon, June 10, 1771. The verso is docketed “Mr. Saml. Morris, Hanover Bedford.”
