Letter, June 26, 1779, from Governor Thomas Jefferson, Williamsburg, Virginia, to an unidentified surveyor. Jefferson requests the surveyor locate a desirable tract of 5,000 acres of land on behalf of Jefferson’s brother-in-law, Henry Skipwith. Jefferson suggests that Dr. Thomas Walker may be of some assistance.
