Governor John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore’s speech concerns the alarming state of rebellion in the colony and the English Parliament’s reaction. Mentions an address of Parliament given 7 February 1775, agreeing to consider the colonists’ grievances. Request the colony to fulfill its obligations. Recommends paying officers and men who recently repelled an invasion of Indians. Printed document; published by Alexander Purdie.
