A typically miscellaneous collection of popular 18th-century recipes, apparently copied from English printed sources. Nearly half of them are medicinal. Cited among books consulted in Helen Bullock, The Williamsburg Art of Cookery, or Accomplish’d Gentlewoman’s Companion (Williamsburg, VA, 1938), and later editions.
