Letter of David Bailey to the Friends of Cedar Creek written from Prince George, March 3, 1812. Bailey informs the Meeting that the blacks in the care of Samuel Nixon need to leave the area and that they have expressed a desire to settle in Pennsylvania. Bailey says Nixon will bring the people to Cedar Creek as he understands “some friends with Waggons are about to set out from your parts to the western Country …” Bailey writes that Nixon will explain the case of these people when he arrives.
