Sir
I sent you up some Money by Capt. Cochs of
Winchester, which I hope You recd. ~ I am now pretty
much reduced to Cash, but I think the necessary
Clothing of Your Men be paid in Aprill, is much better
Pay than they have in common.
I desire Lieut. Mercer may remain in the
lower Parts of the Country to recruit Men for the two
Regiments I daily expect from Ireland. I hope the
Commissaries before this have provided Provisions at
Wills's Creek; I shall send from this some Beef & Pork,
to Fredericksburg to be convey'd to the Camp.~
Mr. Mercer by my orders has left all the Accts
with the Clerk of the Committee, to be laid before them
at next Meeting, & I hope there will be no Difficulty in
passing them.
I am with Respect
Sir
your friend
Robt. Dinwiddie
